2015HBSupper

The Pearl Griffin Memorial Latch Key Program will host their annual hamburger supper fundraiser Tuesday, April 14th from 5-7 PM.

Tickets are $4 for children and $6 for adults.  The meal will consist of a hamburger or hotdog with chips and a drink.  There will also be a bake sale for desserts.

This year organizers are also excited to be holding a raffle in conjunction with the hamburger supper.  With this raffle the first name drawn gets 2 tickets to a Ranger’s game, $200 towards a hotel (sponsored by Songbird Lodge & Texas Bank) and $50 gift card for BJ’s Restaurant & Brewery in Arlington (sponsored by CMS Home Health Care).  The second and third names drawn will each receive a $50 gift card for Walmart (sponsored by Car Corral). Raffle tickets are $1 each and $5 for 6.

100% of the proceeds from hamburger supper and raffle will benefit the Latch Key program as everything has been donated for the event.

Founded in 1983, the Pearl Griffin Memorial Latch Key Program is located at 2411 Coggin Avenue in the First Christian Church in Brownwood, Texas.  The program serves children (Pre-K through 6th grade) who qualify from low income families to have after school care so that the children are not left home alone.

Each year, approximately 80 children are served in Brownwood by Latch Key.  First Christian Church donates the classroom space and Howard Payne students help as teachers fulfilling two needs, a low cost staff for Latch Key and a job through the Work Study Program for the HPU students.  Latch Key is a United Way Organization.
