Larry Walker, age, 54, Grandson of departed long-time residents of Brown County Rev. I L and Stella (Wheat) Walker; son of Jack and Davie Walker, formerly of Bangs, Texas, passed away at his home in Surprise, Arizona on Friday morning December 11, 2015. Larry leaves behind his wife and childhood sweetheart, Gail (Darnell) Walker; his son, Jamin; daughters, Rachel and Natalie. In addition, the joys of his life two grandsons, Riley (6 years old) and Axel (14 months). Larry is also survived by his parents, Jack and Davie Walker; sisters, Toni (Taylor) Walker of Wichita, Kansas and Renee (Darrah) Walker of Missouri; brother, Darryl Walker of Brownwood who resides in Vicksburg Retirement Home; “sister of the heart”, Dawn (Haberkorn) Deakin of Austin, Texas; numerous other family members and friends.
Larry was born July 10, 1961, at Tripler Army Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. Larry leaves footprint impressions all around the world. The family takes comfort in knowing Larry fulfilled his purpose in this life. There is a song close to our hearts with a verse that says, “May all who come behind us find us faithful, may the footprints that we leave, lead them to believe the life we live, inspire them to obey.”Larry as a senior TV Editor for JVMI participated in numerous world – wide medical mission trips with Rabbi Jonathan Bernis, where literally hundreds of thousands of people’s lives have been positively impacted. This entire team is really important to the world we live in. Thank you for your support, the family is fully confident that Larry isn’t looking back, but as a visionary that he is, he is now experiencing a continuation of life we can only imagine.
Private Graveside Services for Larry will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015, at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Remembering Larry who is still impacting many people’s lives in a significant way, the family will celebrate his memory in a memorial service to be held on Tuesday, December 29th at 10:00 a.m. at Jewish Voice Ministries in Phoenix, AZ located at 10850 N 24th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85029.
