Funeral services for Larry P. Welch, age 60, of Brownwood will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Netherton Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Goldthwaite Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Welch died January 3, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Larry was born March 8, 1952 in Goldthwaite to Arris D. “Monk” and Lillian K. Welch. He married Shirley C. Silnicki on March 27, 1982 in Flagstaff, Arizona, and they moved to Brown County in 1999. He was a life-long truck driver and business man who stayed busy all the time. He even relaxed by working. He was a loving husband, father and friend.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Shirley C. Welch of Brown County; children, Daniel and Tessa Welch, J.D. and Kandace Welch, Michael and Tiffany Welch, all of Brown County and Heather Gray of Leavenworth, Kansas; grandchildren, Kaytlin, Mackenzie, Addison, Hunter and Haley; and brother Michael R. Welch and wife, Barbara of Goldthwaite.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monk and Lillian Welch and brother, Danny Welch.
