Larry David Hart, 50, of Zephyr and formally of Brownwood, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Abilene Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012, at New Beginnings Church. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Brownwood Funeral Home 2512 Belle Plain.
Larry D. Hart was born in Santa Cruz, Calif., to the parentage of Carl Hart and Martha McMillan. Mr. Hart relocated to Brownwood, Texas, at an early age and attended public schools in BISD. While in Brownwood Larry met Christie Burkett and they were married in 1983 and to this union came two children. In 2006, Larry and family moved to Zephyr where he remained until his death. Being the family oriented person he was, he enjoyed working and providing for his family. Larry’s nieces and nephews nick-named him “Uncle Pee-Paw”. Larry worked in the oil field for over 20 years and was currently employed by MCG Drilling. If you knew Larry personally, you knew that he was going to tell an off-the-wall joke when he saw you. He never met a stranger and was the life of the party.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 29 years, Christie Hart; daughter, Brandy McClain and husband Torrey of Zephyr; two sons, Taylor Hart of Zephyr and David Hart of Huntsville; two grandchildren, Madison and Kye, all of whom reside in Zephyr; sister, Margie McMillian and husband Ed; and brother, Charlie Hart, all of Brownwood.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and one brother, Harvey Hart. Services are under the direction of Brownwood Funeral Home.
