ControlledBurn2

The Texas A&M Forest Service (TFS) is scheduled to conduct a couple of controlled burns associated with the wildfire academy for training, fuels reduction, and habitat restoration.  Texas Forest Service officials ask the public not to call 911 to report any fire at Camp Bowie in Brownwood during their controlled burns.

The first burn is scheduled for Friday, February 14th, at Camp Bowie.  TFS plans to burn 991 acres adjacent to the target range for habitat restoration and fuels reduction.

The burn is being conducted by the Texas A&M Forest Service and there will be plenty of resources needed to keep it under control, according to officials.
