The Brown County Water Improvement District’s Lake Patrol has added a new officer to their force.
James Nolan Williams took the oath of office Tuesday night at the district’s board meeting bringing the Lake Patrol force to three full time officers.
Williams, 32, has two years of law enforcement experience and comes to the area from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. Williams is also a certified EMT.
Williams is married and has four children.
The water district board also approved a new Lake Patrol policy and procedures manual Tuesday that was recently drafted.
The board also approved the purchase of new radios for the Lake Patrol boats not to exceed $4,093.76. The radios recently became obsolete after other local law enforcement radios were upgraded to narrow band.
