Brownwood News – Lake Brownwood was filled to capacity for much of this year. As of Wednesday, December 11, the lake was still in very good shape being 3 feet 5/10 below spillway.
We are always concerned about how much rain we receive on the watershed. You may also be interested to know how much water has evaporated out of the lake so far in 2019.
According to John Allen, Manager of the Brown County Water Improvement District, from January to December 1st of this year, rainfall at the Lake Brownwood Dam totaled 17.55 inches. The amount of water that has evaporated out of the lake so far this year is 63.06 inches.
