LakeBwdCDClogoSummer officially begins at Lake Brownwood with Memorial Day weekend.  All of us who live at the lake year round are looking forward to seeing those who vacation here.

To kick off the summer, Lake Brownwood Community Development Council is having a fundraiser on Saturday.  The proceeds go to support the many projects we have throughout the year, such as beautification of the lake area, support for the three volunteer fire departments and other projects that may arise in the next year.

This fundraiser will be held on Saturday May 29, 2010 from 11:00 a.m.  until ?…   The location will be the corner of Hwy 279 and FM 3021 in the parking area of Mr. Zippy’s ice/water machine.  Sack lunches:  brisket sandwich or sausage wrap with chips and cold drink will be available for just $6.00.

Please come by, introduce yourselves and enjoy a delicious sandwich prepared by some of the finest grill cooks in the area.  Many, many thanks to Alan Jenkins for allowing the Lake Brownwood Community Development Council to set up on his property for this event.
