The Brownwood Lady Lions basketball team made history on Tuesday night when they won their first playoff game ever as they defeated the Dalhart Lady Wolves with a final score of 47-32 in Lubbock.
Both teams struggled in the first half with a tremendous amount of turnovers. Brownwood was down with a score of 15-12 at the half.
Brownwood came out very strong however after halftime playing a near flawless third quarter and outscoring Dalhart 35-17 in the second half.
Brownwood game scorers included Patricia Wilson – 20 points, Sara Byrd – 8 points, Trinity Ansons – 7, Kelsey Gober – 4, Sydnie Darden – 4 points, Hannah Mask – 2 points, and Amanda Gober – 2 points.
The Lady Lions will advance to the Area Round of Region 1 – 3A playoffs to take on Seminole later this week.
