The Brownwood Lady Lions kicked off the 2010 volleyball season on Tuesday with a dual preseason match against Abilene High and Abilene Cooper. The Lady Lions hit the court not only for the first time of the season, but also for the first time under new head coach Jackie Lang.
The Lady Lions fell to Abilene Cooper in five sets with scores of 23-25, 25-22, 25-20, 22-25, and 16-14. They also lost to Abilene High with scores of 27-29, 25-21, 25-18, and 25-23.
The Lady Lions will play in the Bev Ball Classic Tournament on August 13th & 14th in Abilene while the JV team plays in the Copperas Cove Tournament on the same days. Varsity, JV, and Freshmen teams will scrimmage Graham on the road August 16th.
