The Brownwood High School Lady Lions played the 2nd Round of Girls District Golf during the tournament held at Maxwell Golf Course in Abilene, on Tuesday, April 5th.
The next round will be held next Tuesday, April 12th, in Snyder at the WTC Golf Course with a 10 am Shotgun start. The top 2 teams and the next 2 individuals, not on a qualifying team, will advance to the Regional Golf Tournament held at Meadowbrook golf course in Lubbock, April 18-19.
Lady Lion Courtney Munson is currently in third after two rounds of 88.
“Courtney needs one more good round to be a regional qualifier. I am so proud of her!” stated Coach Laura Martin.
The Lady Lions struggled as a team shooting a 385 and are now 8 strokes behind Wylie who is in third.
“They are all capable of shooting several strokes better and taking back third place,” said Martin. “They are all wonderful young ladies and I know they will finish well.”
