After having their game moved to Coleman due to weather, the Brownwood Lady Lions defeated Abilene Wylie in game one of their Region 1-3A quarterfinal series. It was a decisive victory with the Lady Lions coming out on top with a final score of 11-4.
Due to heavy rain and poor conditions on area softball fields, officials looked for a suitable location to finish the series. As of Saturday morning, officials say that game two will be played at 1pm Saturday in Comanche. The winner of this series will play Liberty Hill in the semifinals next weekend.
It is also uncertain who even won the first game between Brownwood and Andrews on Friday night in the Region 1-3A area baseball playoff series. The game was called after the 6th due to lighting with the Lions in the lead 4-3.
Brownwood and Andrews will finish the game on Saturday to determine the winner of game 1. It is scheduled to be played in Andrews at 3pm on Saturday.
