The Howard Payne University volleyball team only needed three games to put away visiting Sul Ross State University (25-14, 25-16, 25-13) in American Southwest Conference action Friday evening.
The HPU Lady Jackets had a .212 attack pct. for the match compared to Sul Ross’ -.012. HPU also had 10 service aces to Sul Ross’ two.
Tamika Heline led all with 11 kills and Hannah Hicks and Sarah Bishop each added five kills each. Kristin Hammond had 14 digs.
Tamika Harris led Sul Ross State with five kills and 10 digs.
The Lady Jackets improve to 5-8 overall and 1-4 in conference play, while Sul Ross falls to 1-8 overall and 0-3 in ASC action.
Howard Payne will play next at the ASC Dig Pink Crossover Challenge I on Sept 30th – Oct. 2nd. in Abilene, Texas.
