BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne University volleyball fell in straight games 3-0 (25-12,25-22,25-14) to Hardin-Simmons University Tuesday evening.
After dropping the first game 25-12, Lady Jackets made a strong push in the second but still fell 25-22. Howard Payne lost the third game 25-14 and the match 3-0.
Tamika Heline led HPU with five kills and Sarah Bishop had 12 digs. Rhyne Acuff added three blocks.
Madison Reyes led Hardin-Simmons with 17 kills.
Howard Payne is now 8-17 overall and 4-12 ASC play. Hardin-Simmons stands 19-4 overall and 13-2 in conference.
The Lady Jackets will play next on Friday in Alpine, Texas versus Sul Ross State University.
