The VFW Post 3278 Ladies Auxiliary donated $576.00 recently to the Meals on Wheels branch that delivers to the Lake Brownwood area residents.
Jane Masters, Ladies Auxiliary President, said that Auxiliary Youth Chairman Stephanie Reed overheard a conversation between her employer, Trans Texas Tire, and Meals on Wheels’ Bonnie Sides who was looking for donations to keep their program going at least through the end of the month.
Masters said that Trans Texas Tire donated enough for another month, and the Ladies Auxiliary unanimously voted to donate money for the program to operate through this month.
