Kym Phillips, 48, of Brownwood, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, with Pastor Rick Justice officiating.

She was born July 3, 1964, in Plainview, Texas, to Wayna Mae and Bud Cooper. She graduated from Amarillo High School and attended American Business School in Lubbock. She was married to Billy Phillips on April 27, 1985, in Amarillo. They moved to Brownwood in 2002.

Kym was a housewife and loving mother. Her greatest achievement and pride was her family. She supported their endeavors with love and understanding. She was completely selfless in caring for her family. She home schooled her son, Daniel. Kym loved being outside, and going into the field to see the baby goats. She loved gardening and sharing her bounty with friends and neighbors. She loved and took good care of her flower garden.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Phillips of Brownwood; two daughters, Charyss Clark and Kailei Phillips, both of Brownwood; one son, Daniel Phillips of Brownwood; father, Bud Cooper of Lubbock; two brothers, Kerry Cooper of Mesa, Arizona, and Kyle Cooper of Hawaii; three aunts, Irma Cooper and Janet Cooper, both of Olton, Texas, and Glenna Fuller of Albuquerque, N.M.; and family pet, Otis.

Kym’s family would like to extend their utmost appreciation to Solaris Hospice for their caring and professional service. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Solaris Hospice in Brownwood, Texas.
