KTABOnTheRoadIceCreamKTAB On The Road is all about celebrating what’s special and unique about towns throughout the Big Country, and residents of Brown County can participate as On the Road visits the Early City Park on July 22nd.

This year, the celebration will get a little sweeter for one of the five places KTAB visits thanks to Blue Bell!

KTAB News and Blue Bell are hosting a “Town Spirit Contest.” The On The Road stop that earns the most RSVPs on Facebook before the 10 p.m. news on Tuesday will win a visit from the folks at Blue Bell. That means in addition to free hot dogs, chips, and drinks; you’ll be able to enjoy a Texas favorite free of charge: Blue Bell ice cream!

To ensure your town has the chance to “scream for ice cream,” RSVP for the event you’ll be attending and then send out additional invites to your friends. Though Breckenridge is currently in the lead, it’s still anyone’s race to win.

Go to the KTAB On The Road: Early page and RSVP to help Early win the ice cream treat.

Also, everyone who RSVPs will have the chance to be called to “come on down” and play a special edition of The Price is Right during their On The Road stop.

This year’s tour will take place the week of July 18-22. KTAB and will make stops in Snyder, Cisco, Buffalo Gap, Breckenridge, and Early to do its 5pm, 6pm, and 10pm broadcasts.

Each “On The Road” stop begins at 4:30 p.m. and continues until the end of the 10 p.m. newscast. After the 6 p.m. broadcast concludes, attendees will have a chance to participate in “On The Road” versions of games like Survivor, The Amazing Race, Wheel of Fortune, Let’s Make a Deal, and Price is Right for a chance to win hundreds of dollars in cash and prizes. Free food and drinks will be served.

The KTAB crew will be at the Early City Park on Friday, July 22.   Everyone in Brown County is invited to participate in the great games and watch the 5pm, 6pm, and 10pm newscasts live.  Special guests include Humphrey Pete’s and classic cars of Early.

Zach Harmon will headline the Lithia Toyota main stage at 8:30 p.m., and Texas Mule House Ratz will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.
