Kohler Brownwood held their Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Fun Walk on November 27, 2014, Thanksgiving morning. This year’s event included 113 total participants and all registration fees were donated to Brown County United Way totaling $2,670 eclipsing last year’s total by $905.
“We were very thankful to see the strong turnout and look forward to seeing the event continue to grow for years to come,” says Dean Unsworth, organizer of the event.
Although warmer than last year, participants still arrived bundled up in a variety of layered apparel as we started the race in 37 degree weather. There were plenty of smiles and laughter as the volunteer team assembled two hours in advance to ensure all participants were greeted with their race packets, t-shirts and koozies donated by CT Promotional Products. The Kohler Tank Plant was featured as the start and finish for the event this year with great volunteer support from plant associates.
The overall Female winner was 17-year-old Keomi Hamlin of New Braunfels with a time of 17:49. The overall male winner was 16-year-old Stone Hamlin of New Braunfels with a time of 18:02.
Event Coordinators were Lee Ford – WW Spray Foreman, Luis Zapata – Tank Plant Flex Rover, and Dean Unsworth – Manager-PA Distribution, 3PL Relationships.
