During their unit on recycling, the students from Mr. Taylor’s Kindergarten class at Northwest Elementary assembled pencil holders from old fence pickets.
The students discussed and demonstrated how they could reuse wooden fence pickets as well as the importance of safe practices to keep self and others safe (e.g. safety glasses).In the words of 5-year-old Trinity Roberts, recycling is, “Taking something old and making it into something new.”
