State Representative Jim Keffer will be the guest speaker at the Early Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon on Friday, February 28th.
Keffer will be addressing what to expect in the 84th Legislative Session: fighting Obamacare at the state level, closing the equity gap in public education, seismic activity and the future of oil and gas drilling and securing water funding for rural Texas. Time permitting he will be accepting questions.
The luncheon will be held at Mi Familia Mexican Restaurant located at 1020 Early Blvd at 11:30 AM. $12 lunch specials will be available payable at the door when attendees arrive.
The luncheon is sponsored by Texas Farm Bureau Insurance, Brownwood Regional Medical Center – “The Sleep Center,” Howard Payne University, and Bruner Auto Group.

State Representative Jim Keffer is a conservative family man, small business owner and lifelong Texas Republican Party leader. As president of EBAA Iron Sales, Inc., Jim is one of the largest employers in Eastland, TX and Albany, TX.
Jim currently serves as Chairman of the Texas House Committee on Energy Resources. He also serves on the Natural Resources Committee, Redistricting Committee and Texas House Republican Caucus.
He has served as Deacon and Sunday School Teach in the first Baptist Church of Eastland, past President of the Eastland Little League and is active with economic development through his local Chamber of Commerce.
Jim and his wife, Leslie, have been married for 38 years; have three sons and a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. Jim and Leslie are both Texas Tech University graduates.
Rep. Keffer represents House District 60 that encompasses Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Eastland, Hood, Palo Pinto, Shackelford and Stephens counties.
