Luna Mae “June” Barnett, age 78 of May passed away Tuesday September 21, 2010. Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, September 24, 2010 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor David Barnum officiating. June was born December 2, 1931, to B.N. and Addie Love, in Sierra Blanca, TX. She moved to the Brown County area around 1998, and has been a resident of the area for about 12 years.
June was a very loving and giving person, always having a treat to give when her grandchildren visited. She enjoyed crocheting as a hobby. During the Christmas holiday she would make scarves, hats, and socks as gifts. June was an excellent cook and enjoyed making things for her friends and family. Those who knew June best describe her as hard working, strong willed, and a straight shooter. There was never a question of where she stood on any particular subject. June will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her parents B.N. and Addie Love and 7 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her 4 children; Clay Barnett and wife Christy, Kelly Barnett and wife Amanda, Robert Barnett, and Carol Dyba and husband Michael, 8 grandchildren; Connor Barnett, Colbi Barnett, Taylor Barnett, Bailey Barnett, Cade Barnett, Kellene Burgess and husband Bill, Theresa Blossom and husband Joel, and Danielle Dyba, and 6 great-grandchildren.
