Graveside services for Judy Caroline Allen, age 74, of Bangs will be held at 2PM Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Mukewater Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Mrs. Allen passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at her home.
Judy Caroline Green was born February 15, 1943 to Willis and Moreen Green in Mullin, Texas. She married Larry Allen on October 26, 1965 in Bangs. There was nothing Judy couldn’t do; from gardening to mixing cement, she was always creating something. She loved anything to do with the outdoors, and she had a yard full of her favorite roses to show for it. Judy loved to go antiquing, quilting, crochet (she once crocheted and entire dress for a friend!) and sewing. She was a self-taught pianist, guitarist and artist. Her artwork was once displayed at Texas Bank in Bangs.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are her husband, Larry Allen of Bangs; children Johnny and Sue Slaughter of Blanket, Jana Slaughter of Bangs, Larry Jr. and Jimanne Allen of Bangs and Lisa and Jody Landers of Goldthwaite, sister Paula Green of Bangs; grandchildren, Chasity Cartwright, Heather King, Jamye Mcginty, Meagan Reed, Sage Senn, Keelee Allen and Kaden Allen; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willis Green and Moreen West; grandson, Shannon Slaughter; sister, Louise Lemons and brother, David Green.
