ReedGraveside services for Juanita Fay “Mama Fay” Reed, age 90 of Bangs, Texas will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Bangs Cemetery with David Barnum officiating under the direction of the Heartland Funeral Home in Early.  Mrs. Reed passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Fay was born on September 27, 1924 in Coleman County to Samuel Ira and Iva Myrtle Fletcher Lowe.  At age three Fay and her parents moved to the Dulin Community near Brookesmith.  Fay grew up on the family ranch there and attended the Dulin and Brookesmith Schools.  She then attended Tarleton and Howard Payne Universities where she received her Masters of Education Degree.  After graduation Fay taught school at Abilene, Brady, Brookesmith, Cresson, Tolar and Early public schools.  Fay was married to Jack J. Reed in 1948.  To this union two children were born Sheryl (Sherrie) Reed Doud and Jimmie Lowe Reed.  She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Survivors include her children; grandchildren Misti Doud of Gatesville, Texas, Kimberly Gosnell and husband Kenneth of Kohler, Wisconsin, Tracy Jolly and husband Bobby of Lubbock, Texas; great grandchildren Trae Doud, Chelei Doud Brooks, Decovan Doud Brooks all of Bangs, Texas; Kassidy Gosnelland Katie Gosnell of Brownwood, Texas, Kyle Gosnell and Kolton Gosnell of Kohler, Wisconsin, Baylee Jolly and Peyton Jolly of Lubbock, Texas; one great great granddaughter Sophia Ramirez.

Family requests casual attire be worn.
