WrightJoyceFuneral Services for Joyce Wright, age 81, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the Heartland Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Hall Officiating. Interment will follow in the Indian Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Wright passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 in Brownwood.

Evelyn Joyce was born on July 25, 1935 in Fayette County, Alabama to Alexander Tankersley Treadaway and Mirtie Viola Kitchens Treadaway. On December 23, 1976, Evelyn Joyce Treadaway Kite married Carl F. Wright in Brownwood, Texas and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2013. Joyce was a longtime reisident of Brownwood and a member of the Haven of Hope Church.

Survivors include her daughter Joey Broussard of Early, Texas, her daughter-in-law Robin Kite of Lubbock, Texas; five grandchildren Justin Posey, Brandon Posey, Ashley Clark, Austen Kite and Luke Broussard; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Cecil Jack Kite and Carl Franklin Wright; her son At All Kite; brothers Raymond, Ewell and Hamp Treadaway and sister Josie Naron.
