Funeral Services for Joyce Nell Joiner McCullough, age 85, of Brownwood will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Skaggs officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Joyce went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2012. Joyce was born on December 20, 1926 in McDade, Texas to Richard Jones Joiner and Nellie Dee Deglandon Joiner.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Eugene McCullough; two sons, Richard McCullough and wife Tamberly of Woodville, TX; David McCullough and wife Kathy of Brownwood; three grandchildren, Robert McCullough, Amy Boykin and Gina Williams along with six great-grandchildren.
Joyce graduated from San Angelo High School in 1944 and attended San Angelo College in 1944-1945. She was married to Ralph McCullough on December 5, 1945.
Joyce served her church and community as long as she was physically able. She taught Sunday school and worked in the church nursery. She worked in the PTA and as a Cub Scout Den Mother. Joyce was the neighborhood “Mom” for children whose parents both worked outside the home. She loved life and loved Jesus.
