Funeral Services for Joyce Jones, age 83, of Bangs will be held Wednesday September 05, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Bangs with Chaplain Tony King officiating. Interment will follow at Bangs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. She passed away September 02, 2012 at Bangs Nursing Home. Joyce was born on March 27, 1929 in Paris, Texas to Roy and Jewel (River) Householder.
She was married to Billy Ray Jones on March 01, 1947 in Houston, Texas. Joyce was a member of the First United Methodist Church for 47 years.
She is survived by 1 son; Billy Raymond Jones of Bangs, Texas, 1 daughter; Patricia Blount and husband Freddie of Bangs, Texas ; 1 brother Harold Householder and wife Arilla of Houston, Texas; 2 sisters; Linda June Merryman of Waco, Texas, Pat Briggs of Chandler, Arizona; a sister-in-law; Patsy Householder of Mineola, Texas; 1 grandson; Alan Blount and wife Stephanie of Bangs, Texas; 1 granddaughter; Shannon Meyer and husband David of Dahlonega, Georgia; 3 great-grandchildren, Marshall Blount, Madison Meyer, and Harrison Meyer; also several nieces and nephews. Joyce is preceded in death by her mother; Jewel Rivers, her husband; Billy Jones who passed away in 2008; and a brother, Sonnie Householder. Condolences may be left for the family at
