Funeral services for Joyce Chesser, age 87, of Brownwood, will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday July 10, 2017 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Oakview Cemetery in Mullin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
Mrs. Chesser died Friday, July 7, 2017 in Brownwood.
Joyce Maxiene Riddle was born in Brownwood on July 7, 1930 to Homer V. and Kitty (Adams) Riddle. She married John F. Chesser on September 21, 1947. Joyce was a home maker and member of the Lake Brownwood First United Church. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law John and Beverly Chesser of Clyde, Texas, Jaye and Terri Chesser of Caddo Mills, Texas, James and Elisha Chesser of Carrollton, Texas, six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, sister Helen Alexander of Big Spring, Texas and several nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Chesser.
