Joy Jacobs, 73, of Bangs, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016, in Bangs, TX.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2016, at the Bangs First United Methodist Church, with Tony King officiating and David Montoya assisting.  Burial will follow in Bangs Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Joy Beatrice Findley Jacobs was born April 15, 1943, in Brownwood, TX, to Cyril Donovan and Velma Beatrice (Treadwell) Findley.  Joy was a proud mother and she cherished her family and loved spending time with them.  Joy enjoyed doing needlepoint in her spare time, she also enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and was an avid sports fan; especially when it came to cheering for her Cowboys.  Joy was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend and she will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her and loved her.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Patsy Sinclair and Vicki Findley; her brother, Donnie Findley; and her grandson, Zachary Cooley.

Joy is survived by her daughter, Shannah Cole and husband William, of Brownwood; her grandson, Christopher Cooley, of Brownwood; her granddaughter, Mandy Nestor and husband John, of San Angelo; her great-grandson, Cole Nestor, of San Angelo; her sister, Sammie and Garner McClatchy, of Bangs; her brother, Ray Findley and wife Jean, of Santa Anna; her sister-in-law, Barbara Findley, of Bangs, and numerous nieces, nephews.
