JoshTittleJosh, our precious son, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on October 5, 2009 after a courageous 7 month battle with cancer.  We were blessed to have spent this concentrated time with him especially the last 2 months after he decided to stop all treatment.  We had the chance to grieve yet laugh on a daily basis.  Josh was a very strong, independent young man.  He knew exactly what he wanted and what he wanted was to spend his final days at home with his family.  We have sweet memories of this time that we will hold in our hearts forever.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church with Tim Skaggs and Rick Cavitt officiating.  Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 5-7pm Friday, October 9, 2009 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Pall bearers will be Daniel Attaway, Taylor Brown, Nick Flemming, Bryce Newton, Robert Nixon, and Tanner Sikes.

Joshua Scott Tittle was born to Mike and Cindy Tittle on October 14, 1986 in Pulaski, Virginia.  His family moved to Springfield, MO when he was 20 months old and lived there until he was 9 years old.  His family moved to Brownwood, TX in 1996 where he grew up.  He graduated from Brownwood High School in 2005.  While in high school he was a member of the Lion Crew and sang in the Vocal Ensemble.  While in high school Josh was employed by Cici’s Pizza in order to pay for his truck that he was very proud of.

After high school Josh attended Texas A&M for 2 years.  He then decided he was better suited to a smaller college setting and transferred to Angelo State University.  He was a senior at Angelo State when he became sick.  He was to have graduated in December 2009 with a major in finance and a minor in English.  He was very active in the Young College Republicans and the STC-The Society for Technical Communication.  Josh was to have attended the State Republican Convention in Austin in March but was too sick to attend.  Josh also was employed by Cici’s Pizza in San Angelo, TX during his college time.  He was always a hard worker and was proud when he called to tell us they had made him a shift leader.  He gave his all to all he did.

Josh loved his family deeply and not a day went by that he did not tell us.  He was grateful for parents that took the time to care for him while he was sick.  It was his desire that through his suffering and illness and even death that others would come to know Jesus as their personal saviour.  He did not want his life and death to count for nothing.

Josh is survived by his parents, Mike and Cindy Tittle of Brownwood, TX, his sister and her husband, Emily and Daniel Attaway of Dallas, TX, Grandparents Curtis and Ruth Scott of Springfield, MO who have been here through Josh’s entire illness helping to care for him;  Grandparents David Tittle of Haleyville, AL and Shirley Evans of Midwest City, OK: His Uncles, Kerry Scott and wife Marti of Pittsburgh, KS and Kevin Scott and wife Patty of Walnut Shade, MO; His Aunt Donna Camp and husband Milford of Midwest City, OK.  He is survived by 4 cousins:  Ashley and Daniel Scott of Walnut Shade, MO and Hunter and Olivia Camp of Midwest City, OK.

Josh was preceded in death by one cousin, Mason Riley Camp.
