Funeral services for Jose Guadalupe Martinez, age 21, of Brownwood, will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 24, 2012 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mr. Martinez died Monday, August 20, 2012 in Brownwood.
Jose was born on July 31, 1991 in San Marcos to Guadalupe and Maria Martinez. He attended Brownwood schools and graduated from Brownwood High School with the class of 2009. While at BHS, Jose was active with the varsity tennis team where he picked up the nickname “Stitch.” He enjoyed and excelled in his art classes also. Jose’s hobbies included watching WWE wrestling and UFC fighting matches and playing these games on his X-Box. Jose never met a stranger. He had been an employee of Brookshire’s since 2011. Jose had aspirations of going to college at Tarleton State University.Jose is survived by his parents, Maria and Guadalupe Martinez of Brownwood; two brothers, Adrian Martinez of Brownwood and Francisco Corona of Mexico, his friends that considered him family and his family at Brookshire’s.
