Funeral mass for Jose A. Gongora will be Friday Janauary 29, 2010 at 10:30 AM in the St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Brownwood, Texas. Interment will follow at the Rocky Creek Cemetery in Brown County. His rosary will be Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.
Jose died in a head in collision Monday January 25, 2009 on Hwy 279 in Brown County.
He is survived by his three children. Michael Gongora 39 and his wife Janie of San Angelo, Joel Gongora 34 and his wife Joni of Brownwood, and his daughter Michelle Gongora 28 of Brownwood. Also his seven grandchildren: Amanda Mascorro 22, Jordan Gongora 12, Raeann Gongora 12, Danyelle Gongora 10, Jada Gongora 8, Maddison Gongora 5, and Morgan Gongora 3. He is also survived by one great grandson Marco Nino 19 mths, his two brothersTony Gongora of Brownwood, Pascual Gongora of Giddings and four sisters Connie Bergara of San Angelo, Diane Lutz of Arizona, Mary Garcia of Michigan and Lydia Tamayo of California.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents Josephina and Pascual Gongora
