Jonathan (Lew) was born in Pennsylvania in 1934 to Jonathan and Velma Lewis. He was the oldest son of 6 children. He joined the US Air Force at a young age where he excelled as an Aircraft mechanic. He gained the respect and trust of many generals and colonels because of his knowledge in his field and his work ethic. He was a handy man, being able to fix almost anything that was broke. He believed in staying active, being outside, and tinkering with what he could. He always had some type of story to tell whether it was about airplanes, cars or fishing.
