The women seemed to catch the big bass at the 2 of Us Couples Tournament held on OH Ivie on March 24th. It was a beautiful day to fish and the day started out great with 7 couple’s teams fishing. Four couple’s teams caught the 5 fish limit. A total of 25 fish were caught total weight 61.66 lbs.
Johnny and Ina Grice from Brownwood won 1st place with their 5 fish for total weight of 15.49 lbs.
Danny and Brenda Armstrong (pictured above) from Brownwood won 2nd place with 5 fish for total weight of 14.97 lbs.
3rd place – Bruce and Jennetta Toeppich with 13.09 lbs
4th place – Mark and Veonna Doremus with 11.39 lbs
5th place – Wayne and Tammy Manning with 3.03 lbs
6th place – Cory and Deirdre Colyer with 2.80 lbs
7th place – Gary Webb and Phyllis Crable with .89 lbs
Bruce Toeppich (above) won Men’s Big Bass with his bass weighing 6.37 lbs.
The women’s Big Bass was won by Brenda Armstrong with her bass weighing in at 7.67 lbs. and it was a close race for the women as Ina Grice also weighed in a nice big bass weighing 7.22 lbs. It is not often that you see bass that big weighted in at a tournament by the women.
