John Wesley Adams passed away quietly, surrounded by his family Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Wesley lived his entire life on his beloved ranch in south Brown County.
Wesley was married to Velma Lee Gilbreath for over seventy years. Velma never left his side during his illness.
Wesley is survived by Velma; and his four sons, Wayne and wife Jennifer, Kenneth and his wife Vicki, Howard and his wife Yvette and Steve and his wife Valery. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be his four sons, along with Edwin Russell, Glen Bush, Ramey Sparks, Paul Station, and Gary Huddleston.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2013, at the Heartland Funeral Chapel in Early with interment to follow in Winchell Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
