John Franklin Walker, Sr., age 80, passed away on September 7, 2016 in San Angelo, Texas.

Mr. Walker was born on November 20, 1935 in Hermleigh, Texas to Robert and Loreta Walker. He married Judy Samples on January 26, 1968 in Crystal City, Indiana. John was a truck driver, and worked in the oilfield industry. He loved spending time with family and friends, watching Dallas Cowboys, BBQ, having a good time outdoors, fishing, loved having company, and had a heart of gold, he will be greatly missed.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife of 48 years Judy Walker, 3 sons Robert Calbert Walker Jr., John Walker Jr., and James Otis Walker all of Brownwood; Son-in-law Ricky Rios, 2 Grandsons Robert Calbert Walker III, and James Walker; 3 Granddaughters Hailey Rios, Faith Rios, and Chelsea Walker, 2 Great-Grandchildren Bryce Walker, and Sophia Rios all of Brownwood, Texas; 2 sisters Wanda Johnson of Oklahoma, and Bobby Joyce of Coahoma, Texas; 1 Brother Royce Walker; as well as numerous other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

John was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter Renea Rios.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Brownwood Nursing and Rehab at 101 Miller Drive in Brownwood.
