Funeral services for Joe Andrew Valadez Perez, age 70, of Brownwood, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2011 at Netherton Funeral Home with Ruben Perez officiating. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations. The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Perez passed away Thursday night at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Joe was born November 18, 1940 in Brownwood, Texas to Jose and Elvira (Valadez) Perez. He married Marsha Templin in Brownwood on June 11, 1971.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Perez of Brownwood; children, Ruben and Jenny Perez of Brownwood, Tony Perez of Brownwood, Michael and Joy Perez of Ft. Worth and Jennifer Perez of Brownwood; sisters, Mary Gonzales of Brownwood, Minnie Coker of Brownwood, Leona Segovia of Brownwood and Ruby Laredo of Ft. Myers, Florida; and five grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jose and Elvira Perez; brothers, Manuel Reyna and Raymond Perez; grandson, Micah Perez and nephew, Moses Perez.
