Funeral Services for Jodi Sedam, age 73, of Lake Proctor will be held 4:00 PM Saturday at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Jodi went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 18, 2014 in Brownwood.
Theda (Jodi) Owen Sedam was born on September 3, 1940 in Coleman, Texas to O.B. and Thelma Doris Smith Owen. She was married to Tommy Alan Sedam, Sr. in Bay City, Texas on March 8, 1981. Jodi was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary where she had served as the Chapter President in Brownwood and was in charge of the cancer aide and research for the VFW. During her working career she had been a circulation manager for their family owned newspaper, was a volunteer firefighter for Promontory Park at Lake Proctor. She had worked as an administrator for several funeral homes in the area, was a paramedic, was an ambassador for the Bar X Ranch in Angleton, Texas and also was a social worker/physical therapist for the State of Texas in Bay City.Survivors include five daughters, Dondi Fields and husband David of Lake Proctor, Lesa Paul and husband Don of Brownwood, Tracy Sciba of Bay City, Leah Fojtik and husband Michael of Bay City, Dana Lee Jones and husband William B. of Dickinson, 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and her two girls Dutches and Blossom!
She was preceded in death by her husband, father O.B. Owen, mother Thelma Moren and step father George Moren.
