The BRMC Volunteers are pleased to announce that BRMC Volunteer Joanie Thomas has been selected as the October 2013 BRMC Volunteer of the Month.
Joanie Thomas is a Charter Member of the Brownwood Regional Medical Center Volunteers having joined the organization in 1969. She is a familiar face in the Intensive Care Volunteer Service Area where she provides assistance to family members of patients in the Intensive Care Unit at BRMC. Joanie has served over 7000 hours of volunteer service at BRMC.
The Volunteer of the Month Award is awarded by the BRMC Volunteers each month during the year. Recipients of the Award receive recognition and lunch at the Executive Board Meeting held in the month following the month for which they are selected. Each BRMC Volunteer of the Month recipient is recognized with a framed Volunteer of the Month certificate, a ‘For the Love of a Child’ pin which represents the motto of The Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers for the 2013 – 2014 Volunteer Year and a ‘BRMC Volunteer of the Month’ bar.The BRMC Volunteers are always excited to meet area individuals who are interested in becoming a Volunteer.
