Joan Davis Thompson was born June 20, 1934 in Brownwood, Texas to Son and Bertha Davis. She received her education from Hardin High School in Brownwood, Texas. Joan was a loving, caring person who loved her family very much, but more so she loved the Lord.
She met the love of her life Meron Thompson in 1957 and on September 10, 1959 they were united in Holy Matrimony.
In 1965, Joan moved from her hometown of Brownwood, Texas to San Angelo, Texas. Joan worked at Angelo State University in the Food Service department where she truly loved serving the students and faculty.She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church.
On August 16, 2018 Joan Davis Thompson peacefully passed from this Earth to be with her Heavenly Father, surrounded by family at her side.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Son and Bertha Davis. Siblings: Perry, Billy, Bobby and Gene,Daisy, Beatrice, Virginia, Betty and Vivian. Her only child James Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband Meron Thompson; Nikki Moore, Dominique Coverson (MaryAnn) of San Angelo, Texas; Pierre Coverson (Hanh) of Denver, Colorado whom she raised as her children. Grandchildren, host of nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Galilee Baptist Church, located at 721 W 19th St, San Angelo, TX 76903. Services entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home. Online Condolences may be made at www.brownwoodfuneralhome.net
