A graveside funeral service for Jo Wanda Norris, age 86, of Early, will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, August 18, 2014 in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00. Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements in Odessa and Heartland Funeral Home in charge of arrangements in Early.
Jo Wanda Norris went to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 14, 2014 in Early.
Jo Wanda is survived by her daughter, Tammy Ward and husband Chris of Early; two grandsons, Josh Ward of Odessa and Matt Ward of Edmund, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Norris, a son, Gary Nelson, her parents, and three brothers.
Jo Wanda, Mama, or Saint Jo as she was known, lived most of her life with a mission to reach people for Jesus Christ. She had the heart of Christ and loved ministering to others. Heaven greeted another angel and this world will not be the same without her.
