Funeral services for Jo Ann Shackelford, 71, of Brownwood will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2013, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Interment will be in Jordan Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Shackelford was born at Colorado City, Texas, on March 2, 1942, to L. H. and Opal Mae Grisham. She lived in Colorado City for 16 years. After leaving Colorado City, she cared for her family of five beautiful children whom she loved very much.
Mrs. Shackelford is survived by her children, Ben Shackelford, Ronald Shackelford, Debra Shackelford, Randle and Kay Shackelford. She is survived by her grandchildren, Jessie Shackelford and Amanda Snyder, Haylee Ratliff, and Ashley Saunders of Brownwood, Casey Shackelford and Ty Shackelford of Rochelle, Texas, Laramie DeBaun and Cheyenne DeBaun of Burleson, Texas. Mrs. Shackelford is also survived by a brother, Carl Grisham of Abilene, Texas; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Shackelford is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Tommy Shackelford; one brother, Charles Grisham; a great-grandson, Seth Snyder.
