Jimmy died at home on Thursday, June 6, 2019.

Jimmy Weston Ramsey was born October 26, 1951 in Brownwood. Jimmy served in the Army before returning to his hometown. In Brownwood, he was well known for his love of plumbing and worked in that field his whole life for Chambers Pump Service, Hanks Plumbing, and Heart of Texas. The family is especially grateful to Nathan Billings for helping him continue his passion after his retirement by doing small jobs and always being willing to answer the call of family and friends. Jimmy was an avid Cowboys fan and football lover. He enjoyed arguing with anyone who felt differently, especially his son and grandkids. Jimmy also loved to buy scratch off tickets. He was never too far away from the next win or a cup of coffee. The family would like to thank his numerous coffee shop friends for the many laughs and discussions you shared with him. You know who you are, and you blessed his life. Pops, as he was known to family, loved to check in on all the kids and support them in all their endeavors. Jimmy attended Haven of Hope Church with his wife, Mona, where he helped with maintenance. In his time there, he had truly grown in his faith, found a love of reading the Bible, and peace. His family is grateful to all of the church members who have loved on the Ramsey family and been so good to them.

Survivors of Jimmy include his wife, Mona Ramsey, sons Micheal Fulton and wife Dawna, Jon White, and Aaron Ramsey; his beloved grandchildren Chevy, Brody, and Ilena; a sister, Mary Graves, and brother, Ben Ramsey; nieces and their families: Stephanie Baker, Alisa Vita, Renea Hohertz, Crystal Parks, Melissa Henson, and Vanessa Banfield, as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, and his many coffee shop and plumbing friends. Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother and father, Orville and Winnie Ramsey; brothers in law, Elmer Gravers and Raymond Pierce; sisters in law, Betty Rogers and Linda Stembridge.
