Jim “Jimmy” Merriman Jr, 39, of Brownwood, passed from this life to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 2, 2015.
Jimmy was born March 28, 1976, in Brownwood, TX and was a lifelong area resident. He was a loving and devoted father to his daughter, Cerys, and stepson, Tildon. He was the President/ General Manager for Lydick-Hooks Roofing Co., was active in Coggin Ave. Baptist Church, coached little league soccer for his daughter’s team and was active in the Celebrate Recovery Ministry.
He is survived by his daughter, Cerys Merriman; step-son, Tildon Saucillo; mother, Mona K. Merriman; his father Jim Merriman Sr. and step-mother, Karlene; grandmother, Oma Mae Merriman; sister, Elizabeth Merriman Gowens; nieces, Hailey and Shelby Gowens; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as many loving friends.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Jack M. Wilson and Monette Wilson; Bill J. Merriman.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at Coggin Ave. Baptist Church, Officiating the service will be Bill Allen and Tim Scaggs. Burial will be in the Greenleaf Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Shawn Leeth, Brett Leeth, Matt Winnette, Jerome Nowowiejski, Colin Cronenberg and Jerrold Wilkens.
The family will receive friends at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., Sunday, April 5, 2015.
