Funeral services for Jimmy Don Bailiff, age 56, of Dallas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations. Mr. Bailiff died July 10, 2010 at Doctors Hospital in Dallas.
Jimmy was born May 12, 1954 in Haskell, Texas. After graduating from Plano High School in 1972, he served in the U.S. Navy conducting electronic surveillance operating in both Japan and Puerto Rico. He married Carmel Donnellan on April 10, 2007 in Dallas. While a most earnest mechanical engineer, computer novice, avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast, favorite moments were simple and serene, with his dear wife, Carmel.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Carmel Bailiff, daughter, Keli Jennings; son, Jared Bailiff E6 U.S. Navy; parents, James and Ann Bailiff of Brownwood and Martha Close of Big Sandy; brothers, David, Howard, Steven; sister Starla Cason, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
