Jewel Catherine Allgood passed away in peace at her home, Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the age of 90. She was born July 7, 1924, in Breckenridge, Texas to Susie and Farris Miller. On January 6, 1940. She married the love of her life Eual “Bud” Allgood in Brownwood, Texas. Their marriage lasted an amazing 74 years. She worked at Brownwood ISD in the cafeteria for several years. Her biggest hobby was quilting. She loved to sew and quilt until her eye sight made that hard. Having a large family lead to lots of cooking which was also a hobby and work.
Jewel is survived by her spouse Eual”Bud” Allgood, son Frank and wife Mary, daughter Susie Harwell, son-in-law Wayne Guill, and son Eual Allgood Jr. and wife Susie. Jewel is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and numerous great and great great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Pat Guill, son-in-law Bobby Harwell, grandson Frankie White, brothers; Curtis Miller and Calvin Miller, sisters; Arlene Miller and Mildred Culbreath.Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the May Cemetery May, Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Heartland Funeral Home Early, Texas.
