Jesus Villarrreal, 71, of Brownwood passed away peacefully on August 12, 2018 at Senior Care Nursing Home. Jesus Villarreal was born January 26, 1947 in Villa Union Coahuila Mexico to Olegario Villarreal and Maria Santibanes de Villarreal and raised by his grandparents, Aurelio Delgado and Maria del Rosario Reguino. He was married to Maria Esperanza Rivera on January 17, 1971. He was a fun, loving husband, father and grandfather. Jesus was a hard worker for many years and at a young age, he worked farm and ranch work. He moved up north with family to Illinois and worked construction for many years. He moved back to Texas in 1978 and lived in Brownwood where he worked at White Mines and retired from Vulcan Materials Company. Jesus loved to hunt, fish, go to yard sales, playing baseball and spending time with family. He also loved to take care of his animals and enjoyed doing many projects outdoors. He was very loved and will be missed by many.
Jesus is survived by his wife of 47 years, Maria Esperanza Villarreal of Brownwood; three sons and one daughter, Roberto Villarreal and wife, Yolanda of Brownwood, Vicente Villarreal and wife, Amanda of Brownwood, Diana Arriaga and husband, Antonio, Jr of Brownwood, and Armando Villarreal and wife, Juana of Brownwood; 17 grandchildren, Gabriella, Veronica, Francisco, Emiliano, Jasmine, Alvaro, Adan, Adrian, Alex, Junior, Dominic, Graciela, AJ, Carlos, Genesis, Luke and Ana, all of Brownwood; five brothers and one sister, Olegario Villarreal of San Antonio, Humberto Villarreal and wife, Candelarie of San Antonio, Juan Villarreal and wife, Julie of Illinois, Rosa Villarreal of San Antonio, Guadalupe Villarreal and wife, Lourdes of Cedar Park, and Ricardo Villarreal and wife, Martina of Illinois; along with numerous brother and sister in laws, nephews, nieces and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Olegario and Maria Villarreal; brothers, Armando, Antonio, Ramon and Jose Carlos Villarreal and beloved grandparents.
Services for Jesus will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the funeral home. Rosary will be at 7 pm.
