Graveside funeral services for Jesse D. Torres, 33, of Brownwood, was held at 10 am on Thursday, August 25, in Rocky Creek Cemetery with Reverend Danny Ballejo officiating. Interment followed, under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home.
Visitation was be held from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, August 24, at the funeral home.
Mr. Torres passed away on Saturday, August 20, in Sweetwater Texas.
Jesse Daniel Torres was born on May 30, 1978, in Big Spring Texas, to Severo Torres and Elva L. Chavarria Torres. He loved music, had an abundance of friends and loved the color gold.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Mandy, Sofie Elva, and Saul Jesse Torres; parents, Severo and Elva Torres; brothers and sisters, Janie Torres, David Torres, Monica Medcalf, Theresa Torres, Severo Torres Jr., Arlan Torres, Juan Torres and wife Martha, Santiago Torres, Ashley Garcia and husband Ivan, and Steve Torres.
He is also survived by the mother of his children, Sofia Lorenna Simental; his nieces and nephews; Joshua, Adrian, Angel Paul, Mary Jane, Brittany Jade, Erica Lee, Lee Walter III, Kaleb Jordan, Maggie Labelle, Albert Daniel, Jason Severo, Vincent Ray, Waylon Gilbert, Elva Marie, Gilbert Jesus, Lilianna Adelina, Alyssa Mally, Juan Faustino Jr., Priscilla Marie, Angel Alexander, and Allison Magen.
His grandparents, Theresa Chavarria, Juan Chavarria, Mary Tijerina and Faustino Torres, preceded him in death.
