Funeral services for Jerry Myrle Jameson, age 66, of Early will be held at 10 AM Thursday, December 17, at the First Baptist Church of Early with Rev. Eddie Ailshie and Rev. Calvin Knight officiating. Masonic graveside services will be held at 4 PM Thursday in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

He passed away Saturday, December 12, at BSA Hospital in Amarillo following a major hemorrhagic stroke surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 14, 1943 in Colorado City the son of Myrle and Wyone Harris Jameson. Following high school, he graduated from West Texas State at Canyon. He married Donna Reeves at Colorado City on August 18, 1962. He has lived in Early since 1977 moving from Fort Worth. 

He was a placement officer for Texas Youth Commission, a member of the Masonic Lodge, The York Rite, and the First Baptist Church of Early.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna Jameson of Early

Son – Stefan Jameson of Canyon, Texas

A Daughter and son-in-law – Kenda and Mark Evans of Houston, Texas

2 Grandsons – Sterling and Stetson Jameson

A Granddaughter – Shaylee Jameson

Numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and other relatives also survive..

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jaysn Jameson.
