Jerry Daniel “J.D.” Stewart, Jr., age 84, of Early went to his eternal home on Saturday, September 2, 2017.
Graveside Services for J.D. will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Eastlawn Memorial Park with Bro. Ruben Packer officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
J.D. was born on November 29, 1932, to Jerry Daniel, Sr. and Vercie Mae (Smith) Stewart in Dawson County, Texas. He graduated from May High School. J.D. married the love of his life, Marianna Maynard, on March 17, 1956 in Monahans, Texas. He retired from 3M after 27 years; prior to 3M he worked in the oil field. J.D. enjoyed hunting and fishing.
J.D. is survived by his 2 sons, Jerry Daniel Stewart III of Early and Dale Stewart of Early; grandchildren, Vanessa, Jennifer, Amanda, Ricky, Mya, Lea, and Candice; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Vercie Lee Stewart of Bastrop; and sister, Edna Mae Carey of Cross Plains. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marianna Stewart; daughter, Becky Wells; and his parents, Jerry Daniel, Sr. and Vercie Mae Stewart.
