Services for Jerline Jackson will be May 18, 2019 at the Church of the Living God, 1800 Good Shepherd Drive, Brownwood, TX 76801 with a family visitation beginning at 12:00 and the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Marcus Wasson officiating.
Sis. Jerline Jackson was born a twin on August 13, 1939, in Memphis, TN, to the late Fannie Robinson Jackson and Wertice Jackson, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her son Yaves Emmanuel Tony, her baby sister Marvine Tate, and her twin brother Jerry Jackson.
Jerline graduated from Mount Pisgah High School in 1957 and attended the local School of Beauty where she received her cosmetology license. She also studied business in her pursuit of a business degree.
In 1973, she moved to Texas and began working at Brownwood Sewing Factory. She would later get a job with the Brownwood Independent School District where she would spend the next 25 years.
Jerline accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of The New Testament Holiness Church in the early seventies.
On Monday, May 13, 2019, at 11:07 p.m., Jerline left her earthly body for eternal rest. In her seventy-nine years she was a blessing to not only her family, but everyone she encountered. She will forever be loved and missed.
To carry on her memory Sis. Jackson leaves behind: one daughter, Marva LaTonya Graves-Velez, a son-in-law, James Velez, one granddaughter, Mickaya Tucker, one great-granddaughter, Malachia Tucker, one brother, Wertice Jackson, Jr. and his wife Toni Jackson of Memphis, TN. She also leaves behind her first cousin Sakinah Saleem (Laura Ann) and a host of other relatives and friends.
